Brady has the potential to be the next McVay. Great offensive mind.

McVay has already been figured out. The NFL rosters are too much of a carousel unless a truly great coach is calling plays. Brady will have a tough hill to climb at Carolina but he needed to strike while he was the hot name.

McVay admitted as much and has said that’s why he is making changes. Dude us a very good coach and even in a “bad” years the Rams were only a missed FG from making the playoffs

Joe Burrow just made that man alot of $

Joe Brady made Burrow a #1 pick, Heisman, and a millionaire. LSU’s offense sucked arse in 2018, then Brady joins in 2019 and LSU and Burrow set records.

Rhule as HC and Brady as OC is definitely enough to make me want to watch Panther games.

So look, I’m not going to sit here and act like Brady isn’t a huge reason for the offensive turnaround because he is. However, here are some things you may not know:

1) Brady has never worked with the QBs. Ever. Ensminger and Jorge Munoz developed Joe.

2) Brady had never sat in a room and developed a game plan. Brady brought his system. Ensminger showed him how to implement it.

3) While Brady brought his concepts, he had noting to do with Burrow’s development in the pocket and avoiding the rush. That was ALL Jorge Munoz and that’s right out of Joe’s mouth.

4) Joe invited 3 people to New York: Ensminger, Brady and Munoz. He openly credits Munoz with his blitz reading development.

It’s likely that Munoz will be the promotion to take Brady’s role. The system is in place and that dude can run it with Slinger.

I think Brady will be a fantastic coach, but I am not sure he should have jumped yet.

He has a fantastic football mind, but being that actual coordinator is so much more than that.

He never even worked on field with the Qbs or any positions at lsu, he never developed a practice, or a weeks gameplan

Those things arent just given easy things to do. Brady was clearly the brains behind the playcalling, but E did all the bullshite redtape practice work and game development that takes a shite load of time and effort

Maybe Brady thought he was ready to take all of that on, but its a big risk. We will see how it plays out for him

Meh, you go and figure out the rest later. Even if he flames out here he has plenty of career left to go back to CFB and rebuild (or go be a positional coach in the NFL).

People act like coaches never rise back up once fired, which isn’t realistic. Belly hem failed on his first stint as a coach - he turned out ok. McCarthy is on his second stint. McDaniels is going to be a HC again at some point (basically was with the Colts).

If Carolina offers you big bucks you go and figure out the rest later.

Agree to disagree. He isnt 50

He just turned 30. I think it was an unnessarry risk considering lsu was offering 1 million a year, which is slightly higher than the avg nfl Coordinator salary.

Are we certain the Panthers offered him mega bucks?

Even more reason to go. He has time to rebuild and money made at 30 is infinitely better for building net worth.

I’m not so sure those numbers are accurate, but you can generally assume the LSU number was the floor for negotiations. David Tepper is obsessed with winning and is going to pay whatever it takes to get the guys he wants. Ultimately an extra 3 million a year is chump change to him. This isn’t the old NFL with owners whose pocketbook is tied to the team revenue. This dude has frick you money and is going to spend.

They just gave Matt Rhule almost 9 a year with the possibility of 10 and a 7 year deal.
I wouldn't be shocked if they offered him 2 m a year and around the same length of the deal.
I think he sold while his stock was very high, considering how his name was attached to Burrow's historical season.

Tepper doesn't frick around. hes good people.

Im honestly intrigued to see how he does

I do think he is a great playcaller, but I think he is getting ALOT of credit for Burrow, a guy who was already a 4 year player and a guy he didnt even work with on the field....
