I guess less depth, but Nelson and Crowder were meh, and Wright ain't much either.

I'm not sure 2 ball dominant guards like those will work either.
Their depth took a huge hit too.

They take a hit to their depth, and Monta Ellis will have a huge drop-off. I guarantee it. I still think this might be a solid move, but it is not a league changing move.

This is how I see it. Cuban knew the Mavs had no chance to compete in the West with Nelson at PG, so this at least gives them a chance. Obviously not having a bench will hurt, but they were not winning the West as it stood. There's no way this isn't a positive for the Mavs.
