I am a 10 as a well and just got a new set of Titleist AP2s. Go get fitted with a fitter who uses trackman and who will let you hit balls out side as well. Hit a few different brands and let them show you the numbers before making a decision.

Can you show us your print out of your driver?

R11 irons are the tits, they don't have much offset at all and are forgiving as all the other irons.

Do they have faces as hot as the R9's because that is what I have and my only complaint is that distance control is pretty hard with them.

A 10 handicapper is plenty good enough for ap2s

Ap1s are for 15+ if you ask me

The ap2s aren't that hard to hit.

I recently got the Taylor made tour preferred muscle cavities and I like them a lot

It isn't like you can lump every ten handicap into one section. It depends on how this guy hits.

I blew the machine up. numbers didn't go that high and they had to replace it. Got kicked out of that place and had to go somewhere else under an assumed name. they would only let me hit 6 iron

Seriously what was your swing speed with whatever club you were hitting with? I assume it was a six iron.

I understand, but the other guy made it sound like a 10 was a beginner and couldn't handle ap2s

As a 10, I Had to say hold up

I know, I think I would constantly shoot lower rounds with G15's over something that is borderline out of the game improvement category. But it is nice not having to look down at those fat club heads. I guess it is worth a shot or two a round.

That's one reason I'm getting away from the G series, even if I'm not quite ready for the i's. They're huge.

Im playing hogan apex blades that are about 20 years old and are the best clubs ive ever hit so im not really in the market.

These? This was my previous set that I played with for 3-4 years. They are like butter and I loved them. I traded them for the s59's straight up. Just couldn't pass on that deal.

I've got the AP2's and it will be a long time before I trade them in. They are so smooth.

This. I hit the Mizuno's and the Taylormade MCs last summer when I got my AP2s, and the AP2s won out. However, if I would've gone with either of the other 2, I think I'd be happy too.

But before you buy anything, as others have said, you need to hit a bunch and make sure you're getting what's right for you.

get fitted and whatever fits. I play Titlest which I never would have bought. But they're great. I won closet to the pin in a tourney yesterday.

R11's are far better than the R9's,they have a player iron look with a high handicap forgiveness.

Everyone in this thread should go to the help board and post on the thread asking for a golf board!

I have AP2s. Had 762s before. Not playing as much and I don't feel like I hit the AP2s quite as well... most likely to not playing as much.

They are sweet when you hit them though.

I'm an extremely inconsistent golfer. Played 18 today and shot a 52 on the front and a 40 on the back...

I just started playing again recently, but is there a chance my inconsistency could be caused by my clubs? They aren't fitted to me. Or is it just cause I suck/just started getting back into it? Or both?

I'm a 4,5 hcp. Recently retired my Cleveland muscle backs and hopped into some Taylor Made MC's. The only reason I chose them was because I liked their top line.
I wanted AP2s but didn't like their top lines.

Anyone who is 10 or less can play what they want IMO. Just choose what feels right and get fitted.
