Horrible defense! Just watch the first two minutes - 3 runs scored on a bloop hit that didn't reach the outfield. Three throwing errors in one play.

I mean, to whom was he throwing? It's literally halfway between 3rd and home!

He actually set his feet, turned towards his target, and just chucked it in no man's land

Reminds me of my first grandslam i ever hit, first of MANY if i may not be, atleast for a moment, not ao humbel! Yes there were lots of throwing the ball around but i still scored on it snd brought everyone home so it still counts. My parents had the ball mounted on there living room wall for years until i took it down one day to try and sell it at a local auction

I keep watching that series and laughing.

How does a manager handle that? What do you start with?

I'd just get ejected and go to the damn bar at that point.

The guy playing first sits for at least a week.

Pitcher made a bad off balanced throw, but that seems to happen once a week. 1st baseman did not anticipate the short hop on the sidearm throw. He then doubles down and make an idiotic throw himself.

Guy on 3rd is next on the chopping block. The throw home was not terrible, but it would have been a bang-bang play and he clearly lost sight of the 3rd person on the base paths. He actually had a better shot at flipping his hips and getting the guy at 3rd, but seeing how that play was going he probably throws that ball to the CF wall.

All to say, 1st baseman should have held the ball and jogged in. The runners on 2nd & 3rd were not going anywhere until he sailed that throw.

Edit: Just saw the pitcher telling the 3rd baseman to make the play at 3rd
