I'm surprised how many here don't know the rule.
Hand fighting is allowed, but ONLY if you are playing the ball. The rule is that if there is contact AND the defender isn't looking for the ball, its an automatic penalty. If the defender is making a play, hand fighting is allowed.
Hitchens never made a play on the ball, but he literally threw his hands up and didn't hand fight.

agreed. The only breaks that have really gone dallas' way are the punt bounce (which didnt matter) and the tipped ball that Witten caught. The calls have definitely gone Det's way until that call.
