And I cant tell you why those guys were starting, one of them is the most immature annoying guy on the team last year. And the other guy is talented but he is too short to play on the outside

Meh i dont buy the daddy thing

I mean they put in the oTher guys against Zachary and they didnt do much better

There is just a lack of talent in the Dbackfield for them this year which holds that defense back from its potential because the Dline is pretty good as is one of their backers

Central is certainly capable of winning their remaining games. Stay disciplined/home. It will be interesting to see though if they end-up 5-5...that might get them in. Unless you are seeded worse than 27th or 28th, your chances are decent in round 1.

Couldn't be much shorter than the guys out their now. Central DBs look like the are 5'-6" playing agaist 6'-3".

Is Denham's back going to be ready for this week. He ran all over Central last year.

He'll play I'm sure. He has been dinged up all year and they finally proclaimed him 100% last Friday and he broke off a 35 yard run amd ran out of bounds after pulling a hamstring untouched

He pulled it, but it didmt look severe so im sure he will at least try it out this week. No telling how long he can go on it though

A year ago my son's team had 5'7" and 5'8" cornerbacks and both could flat out run support and cover receivers. The height is not an issue if those kids are good football players. In high school you can get away with shorter players if these players are good. In college you can't get away with it but we aren't discussing college. If these kids aren't good enough that's another issue.

Well when the recievers are are 6'2and above and they are throwing slants and post above the DBs height and arm reach, there isnt much they can do beside PI

Carencro @ Acadiana. While I think Acadiana can pull out a win I don't think they do. They will have to play a lot better than they have thus far without the mistakes and I just don't see them doing that. Acadiana is better suited against the run so they have that going for them. They will have to score over 30 to win and I just don't see them doing that IMHO. Hopefully they wake up come playoff time.

While that will probably be the case, I would not be surprised if Acadiana makes a game out of it. They are still a very good team. Maybe a little young, but they are still capable of winning against anyone.I don't expect them to give up like they did against barbe. Barbe played to Acadianas weakness, in the secondary, where 3 of 4 dbs are sophomores. Acadiana will be fired up for this game and if they win or lose I wouldn't be surprised either way. But the question is can Acadiana score enough to win? The veer hasn't been clicking like it should and their starting rb was hurt so wr will see. More than likely a cro win, but thats why they play the game

Chalmette....
from two pages back.
When we went over to play John Ehret a few weeks ago, they charged us $10 per person at the gate. It was $7 or maybe even $6 AT the bookstore at Brother Martin. But $10 at the gate. Of course, my son didn't bother to go get the tickets, despite us asking him, and giving him the money for his student debit card.

The only "blessing" is that they didn't charge my 11 year-old son to get in, so it was just my wife and I that had to pay.

I agree. Height on the outside is big in high school. Run support and staying on a receiver does nothing when a guy 6" taller than you is going up to get fades. He catches them or you grab him and get flagged. Having 6'2" receivers is huge aganst short DB's in high school. All you need from the QB are balls lobbed down the sideline, or as you allude to, lobbed anywhere...even over the middle post routes.

That's why you knock the shite out of him the first few times the ball is thrown his way, not try to outjump him.
