Last time I checked, Sid retired once and came back. He was not forced out or fired. Hell, they never wanted him to "retire" to begin with.
They just don't have the talent.

I was at the Walker/Central game and I gotta say that Walker absolutely dwarfed Central. I can't imagine other opponents like Scotlandville or Dutchtown were much smaller. Central doesn't have the gazelles they had a few years ago.
One drawback of your own public school system is you can only play with your kids. No open enrollment, no magnet program, etc. That's rough in a small school district with only 1 or 2 feeder schools.

I thought we had enough talent especially offensively to overcome the bad coaching. I was wrong and have no problem admitting that.
If this team doesn't make the playoffs (which it looks like it won't) it will be the most wasted talent at CL since 2001, when we were beating Curtis and lost, beating Carver and lost, beating Baker 21-0 at half and lost.
I've sat through 1-9 seasons and I have no problem admitting when we just don't have the talent, but this CL team is loaded and is just a flat out underachieving team.

What happened to Lafayette High? Weren't they real good a few years ago?
