If there's no Friday evening game at Gormley, why was BM and Rummel originally scheduled for 3:30?

Never mind, found the answer on CCS...

quote:

The Catholic League tilt was originally part of a doubleheader at Gormley but the St. Augustine-Holy Cross nightcap changed day, time and venue due to the threat of Isaias to the northern Gulf Coast.

I really don't see the point of high school rankings. They are so flawed and subjective. #7 Curtis and #9 Catholic have losing records at 2-3. Come on.

Max Preps must throw darts to get their top 25...

Three 1 loss teams ranked ahead of a 5-0 team, Two 2-3 teams ranked in the top 10...and another 2-3 team at 24.

Brother Martin jumps up a spot after a loss.

Jesuit jumps ahead of Rummel 4 spots with a win over a bad Holy Cross team while Rummel falls two spots to #6 after beating the "#7 team"...

and a 2-3 Curtis jumped from #10 to #7 after a loss to the team who fell 2 spots...

Talk about flawed... Has to be to most useless ranking system ever...

I guess getting blown out 3 times while giving up 60+ is better than being 5-0 against "lesser" teams. Interesting criteria.

Their schedule seems stacked this year, every week against a ranked opponent

Those are compiled strictly by computer.

I'm working on this week's list for High School On SI.

Have Rummel at No. 4.

I whiffed on some teams in the preseason like Southside and Barbe.

I got some correct like Westgate and Lafayette Renaissance, which isn't ranked yet but should contend for the D2 select title. Took down undefeated D2 No. 1 Lake Charles College Prep last week.

What are they using, a Commadore 64?

Floppy disc?

They have a writer that puts together the preseason football list, but after that it's by computer in all sports.

I'm not 100% sure of all of that, but pretty sure it's the case.

@ West Monroe, vs. Ouachita, vs. Zachary, @Catholic is a brutal 4-game stretch.

Yeah it’s hard to see John Curtis being 2-4, 0-3 in district. Potentially it could be 2-6, 0-5 before they get Holy Cross and Chalmette at the end of the season. 28 championships doesn’t guarantee anything, they can be bad sometimes too

Ole Muss Bertolino going to be packed to the rafters...

Karr's band will probably take up the whole visitors side...
