This makes me happy. My dad is from Bunkie. He played for the Panthers from 58-61. Last real good team they had was in 88. In the semis against Jonesboro-Hodge, they came back from a 28-7 deficit with a wishbone offense and one of the Christmas boys. One play from going to overtime. Pick 6 on an attempted hook and lateral ended their season. A win would have sent them to the dome. Still pisses me off to this day that they didn’t just kneel and go to OT. They had all the momentum.
