Has the Airline vs Capt Shreve game gone final? Last I heard it was 69-62 Airline with 3 minutes left.

They are awfully good and deep. They may be better this year than last year.

Crescent City Sports has it as Airline 69 - Capt Shreve 68.

Capt Shreve must have scored late and missed a 2 pt conversion.

Airline is an arena football team. Unstoppable offense and zero defense.

What’s going on with Patterson these days? I seem to remember them being a decent program awhile back, but I see they’re 0-5 this year and looking horrible

My senior year was apparently the last year we had some semblance of defense. Got the unlucky draw of Haughton for the second time and the weather was very against us. Based on how it all played out I really thought we could've gone to the semis at the least.

West Monroe 50
Scottlandville 0

WM made some changes on defense tonight and looked better. Completely changed the kickoff team after last week against Catholic. Scottlandville was putting up 35 a game or so coming into it. Their D Line was large. The QB has a hose, but couldn’t get any time to get it to his guys.

WM travels to ASH next weekend. Looking forward to seeing LSU Commit at RB.

St. Amant blew a 21-0 lead and lost to Dutchtown 24-21. St. Amant didn’t pick up a first down in the second half until the last drive of the game. Had two plays on that last drive where St. Amant could have scored touchdowns. But man, that St. Amant offense went cold in the second half. Thought the play calling was kind of conservative in that second half. We were trying to protect a lead instead of trying to win the game it seemed. Hard to run the ball on that DL Dutchtown has.

These officials at the Rummel BM game have no fricking clue what’s going on..

Terrible..

LSHAA should be ashamed.
The LHSAA doesn't assign regular season officials or train officials. Officials are independent contractors that belong to the LHSOA. The local association is responsible for assigning regular season games. The LHSOA and LHSAA provide guidelines, over view and support.

The 5A districts are pretty much logical and perfect IMO

The entire top 10 in 5A come from four districts. 5A has some really good districts but it also has a lot of really bad districts.

I get that, and I realize these guys have other jobs and officiating is done, with some, because of the love of the sport, especially wrestling, but something needs to be done. Some of the incompetence is down right crazy.

They had six guys on the field last night that were completely lost, at one point it took them 10 minutes to figure out what down it was. One official threw a flag, which I think would've been a roughing call against Rummel because he made a hard clean tackle, and another official came over and had him pick it up.

However, it wasn't the worst officiating I've seen, that was Rummel, Holy Cross in '21. They actually gave HC an extra third down at one point. But the worst was when Rummel had to punt, deep back calls for a fair catch, another Holy Cross player fields the punt and runs for about 50 yards. Officials huddle up, they finally decide to throw the flag, but they penalized them from the end of the run, not where he fielded the ball... .

I've haven't seen officials get the hell off the field so fast in my life...

I’m sure my (ASH) Trojans will give WM a run for it. Is this a typical WM team this year?

there is only roughing the kicker, snapper, holder or passer - not a runner - could it have been targeting or illegal helmet contact?

THere is a new rule that a receiver is a considered a defenseless player until he or she completes a catch and makes a football move and can only be hit certain ways.

I will say this when chain crews(provided by school) move or change the down when there is a penalty and they do not know - that can take several minutes to sort out especially with discussion about the foul. WHen in the game did it happen?

Think in the third quarter...

I just used roughing because it was a very hard hit tackle... Everyone was wondering why he threw the flag. There was no face mask, no horse collar, and no personal foul in any way.

That crew just seemed very incompetent.
