Numbers
Salmen dropped to 4A meant 8 Northshore schools in 5A. That’s a district
There were 6 JP schools in 5A
There were 6 Catholic / Curtis schools in 5A CL plus Karr so total 7
Then you had Warren Easton, Ben Franklin and Chalmette
2 of those were going to the JP district and one to the CL
Franklin would be a joke in the CL and WE had just had a 2 year stint in the CL where they got crushed
So.. Chalmette was the odd man out in order to have 3 districts of 8 schools each.

The announcers originally thought the unsportsmanlike was on Rummel OL who retaliated against and shoved the Curtis player.
IMO, if standing over and looking at a player is unsportsmanlike then it should have been offsetting with the Rummel player shoving the Curtis player standing above the QB.
Yet, the LT of Rummel had multiple late / unsportsmanlike hits throughout the game where contact was made (not standing over) and were clearly seen by officials that drew no flags from the crew!
Standing over - bad
Illegally hitting after the whistle - ok
Consistency!!!!!!

The historic Goodwood Game. Hope it's a good one and there's a playmaker or two out here.

Ben Franklin wouldn’t have even played for district. They don’t even do so in JP

That’s an underrated game in the north, and huge for playoff seeding.

Do they still play the district teams? Just don’t compete for playoffs?

Nope
W1 Ascension Christian
W2 Patrick Taylor
W3 @ Haynes
W4 Varnado
W5 @ Springfield
W6 @ Central Private
W7 @ Morris Jeff
W8 North Iberville
W9 Willow
W10 Kenner Discovery
They would have played in district for basketball, baseball, and softball though but in the CL that would have been a joke too. In JP they’re ok

Karr struggling in the 2Q and HC getting dominated… I’m here for it
Posted on 10/2/26 at 7:50 pm to chalmetteowl
HC left their defense at school apparently.

HC QB breaks one for 80, gets 1st & goal and gets stuffed 4 times in a row trying to run up the middle
