when we scrimmaged them they looked different than years past.

In prior years the score of scrimmage was close…but Acadiana manhandled us. This year it was the opposite.

Keep an eye on Westminster Christian (Op.) in Division IV. I've had top five in Class 1A. LSWA didn't give them any votes last week. They beat WCA-Lafayette (which was No. 11) 49-7.

It can get complicated but.... in most cases this is the crux.

If there are no penalties or if the penalty for a foul during the down is declined, the down is replayed if the whistle occurs while a legal forward pass or snap is in flight or during a legal kick.
If the ball is loose following a backward pass, fumble, illegal forward pass, or illegal kick, the team last in possession can either replay the down or count the down and put the ball in play where possession was lost.
If the ball is in player possession when the whistle blows, the down is replayed, and the results of the play are accepted at the spot of the inadvertent whistle

if it occurs when a turnover is involved it can get tricky. or god forbid you have a late hit BECAUSE of the IW(most times they are low volume and not all players hear them).
