I expect a bit of homerism on a radio broadcast like that. That doesn't bother me, but those announcers were extreme.


Kudos to their coach. He sounded classy on the post-game. And congrats to their players on a game well played.

Bad memories from there, no doubt. But that was after Barbier. I remember the slug fest between the Laron Landry-led Tigers and the Alley Broussard-led Rams.

35 had athletes everywhere and no coaching.

Yeah, that was the early 2000's. I remember listening to that game. all you heard the announcers saying all night was "Alley Broussard on the left side, Alley Broussard on the right side, Alley Broussard up the middle." That bastard could run. Never got drafted to the pros. Back to the "home cookin' " of the 90's.
I seem to remember it was Barbier's first season . The refs were so bad,
the HHS coaches wives ran after the
refs after the game with at least one of them (the wives) kicking a ref. The "home cooking" was blatant. The Acadiana winning score drive was penalty aided all the way down the field....disgusting.
