So Barbe pitched 18 innings at the state tournament against the next best two teams in the state and didn’t give up a run.

Tough loss for the Rebels. Still believe the best two teams, three if you want to include Sam Houston were there and if any of those games were played again, it’s very possible there could be a different ending.

Yep. You’re rarely going to see a team with Mississippi State and LSU pitchers as their 1-2 and that’s the only 2 that pitch in 18 innings.

That NV pitcher was good.
Tioga starter was not on his A game. The reliever came in and didn’t allow a run from the second on.
Tiog had opportunities but NV played great defense.
That’s why you play the game though.

NVs pitcher and the Tioga reliever were clutch. It didn’t matter the situation, they worked themselves out of it. I was impressed.
Tioga’s defense early on didn’t help the starter very much.

I think it was less the Tioga defense and more the “piss poor hits”. Dribblers dying in the infield grass.

Barbe best team in state and not close. West Monroe had at least 5 errors. They just can’t win the big one. Congrats to North Vermillion. I thought Tioga would win.
