Dunham wins in ho-hum fashion over Northeast in 2A. Looks like Rapides' road to the semi's got a lot easier with Opelousas Catholic getting upset. Although 2A basketball feels a lot like 3A football with Curtis - everybody else is just playing for 2nd place to Riverside.

I remember when LaSalle's Jacob Roark got the win against LSU when he pitched for Northwestern State. Kid could play. I knew of him when he was in Harrisonburg.

Yeah, I don't expect a win for Monterey but it's not out of the question. Monterey has some unreal shooters when they are on. But when they are off, things could get ugly. They have been extremely inconsistent. My nephew is a 6'4 junior that can be unstoppable if he wanted. He is just not aggressive enough yet. He can stand under the goal and jump straight up off of two feet and dunk with ease but hasn't attempted a single dunk yet.
Baseball is a different story. He pitches and is dominant. Not enough exposure yet though.
Sorry to use this thread to brag on my nephew but couldn't resist!

Their quarter has seeds 30, 19, 22, and 6 remaining. And the 6 is Dutchtown, who is probably the worst of the four teams.
Could likely see 22 at 19 in the quarters. Or maybe more likely 22 at 30 in the quarters.
Either way, we're going to see a very low seed reach the Top 28 in 5A.
