Might be due to the state track meet on Saturday. If both teams do not agree, a playoff game cannot be held on the day of the meet.

Welsh and Winnfield play Thursday and Saturday. DH on Saturday if necessary. I guess it helps the visiting team save a little money by not staying overnight.

Big risk in sticking with a Saturday date with the weather predicted. Remember last year the fiasco with bad weather the whole weekend. It ended up with resorting back to a 1 game rule. Even if 2 games were played and the 3rd could not be played by the deadline, the 1st game winner was declared the series winner.

Using a bat that’s been banned since 2012 I believe. Not sure what occurred between the ump and LHSAA official but they let him continue using it.

AH! So it was a decertified bat. It was decertified in 2015.

Why didn't anyone take a pic or video? In this day and age it would seem like there would be 10 different videos of him using an illegal bat. You say he kept using it, so he did it more than 1 AB?

Why would wording have to be changed? They do not list non-conforming bats in the rule book. It is posted on the NFHS website and notification was sent out to all officials and coaches.
