Some eye popping numbers
Upon a quick look
Dutchtown is the biggest school in the state
Looks like Southside and Acadiana have passed Lafayette High in enrollment
Pretty shocking how big the big Catholic Schools in BTR and NOLA are becoming

Jeez
North Vermilion has boomed. Largest HS in Vermilion Parish
Abbeville High with about the same as Kaplan and Erath

Supposedly in22-23 but it’s not happening. It came in way over budget and they’re revising plans. 23-24 is likely.

Among EA, St. Amant, and Dutchtown, there are around 6500 HS kids. That is an arse-load. The new high school is definitely needed.

Looks like Northwood (Shreveport) is the smallest in 5A with 1,064.
Karr, Liberty, and S. Lafourche and maybe some others move up to 5A. Huntington and Salmen look to be the larger schools in 4A.

Wonder if Prairieville will cause a huge redistributing.
They should put the 4 AP schools with ESJ.
Put all the EBR teams in one district.
Then put Livingston with Ponchy and Hammond.
15 teams. 3 5-team districts.

Are the All boys and all girls numbers doubled?
CHSBR with 2000+ kids in that footprint doesn’t make sense to me
These numbers are always a good indicator of where things are trending in LA with development, jobs, etc

Damn didn't realize Ponchatoula had gotten over 2000 and is now at 2163. Last time I noticed they were in the area of 1700-1800.

About 10-15 years ago they played with this idea but it got shot down, not sure why.

One time I made the mistake of driving 73 in Geismar at 7:15. It’s like coming into BR on 1-10 East during rush hour.

Prairieville High School can't open soon enough
23 is what they projected
Schools get built pretty quick in Ascension
Even if you don't have all the athletic fields ready you can get the school up and running

Maybe now because the Northshore district wound be
Mandeville
Fontainebleau
Covington
St. Paul’s
Northshore
Slidell
You don’t need 8 teams on the Northshore and 5 teams in other places now.

I live on a side road off of Highway 22 a 1/4 mile east of Ponchatoula High. I cannot leave my house between 7am and 8:30 in the morning and 2:45 and 4:00 in the evening. I feel your pain.
