The real Trent Dilfer is Caleb Williams. 2 100 yard running backs for the Bears in this game, and Caleb isn’t even at 100 passing yet.

Dude should be taking so much heat for his awful play, but thanks to defense and run game he gets to hide behind the scoreboard

He’s dog shite and has had the benefit of playing multiple back up QBs this season. This combined with the unsustainable turnover margin…it’s all a house of cards. That run game is elite though.

9 points in the 4th at home? Siriani and Hurts definitely spent most of the offseason in a sealed box sniffing their own farts.

Not gonna tush push their way out of this one. Oof

I’m pretty bummed there’s no game thread. I wanted to make fun of Sirianni going for 2 down 9 instead of take the XP and going for it later, if they score again.

yeah I’ll never understand that. You miss it and it’s deflating mentally. Kick the XP and the what if is still a factor for both sides.

Because he’s an “I’m smarter than everyone else” jackass.

If you make it you’re only down 7 which gives you a chance to win if you score another TD and 2 pt or at least tie. And if you miss down 9 you still have more time left to score twice vs waiting to score again and needing to convert the 2 point just to tie

In what world is Celeb not getting heat? Most people would slide him down a bit on the 2024 draft board.

Also his current play is “viable NFL starter all told, but not elite, +runner with playmaking capabilities but leaves far too many plays on table”. Which backup QB are you starting over him?

“Aweful” and “not living up to 1OA hype” are two objectively different concepts.

This also seems like a weird game to bring that up.

One of the narratives to this game is the Eagles run a hyper-simple offense that relies too heavily on beating people 1:1. One of the theories is it has to stay this simple for Jaylon to process it.

Meanwhile Caleb is on game 12 of Ben Johnson motioning people everywhere, and while it’s not great, Caleb doesn’t appear to be shaken by needing to re-read a defense whenever someone crosses the center on a motion.

In the post game presser Ben Johnson even mentioned on the Cole Kmet touchdown, the first read was Swift. Caleb saw the safeties crash and went for Kmet over the top while rolling to his left.

Dilfer literally didn’t have the ability to throw that ball. And the processing from Caleb’s end was fine.
