Ah well that’s a plus, but I’m still convinced that they should draft OL.

Draft Sewell then tank again and get Boutte

Boutte is just a sophomore next year.

I think you have to protect your franchise QB with either Sewell or Slater with the #5 pick. They still should be able to get a solid WR with the 2nd round pick but it won't matter if they can't protect Burrow.

pitts will be better than chase

He’ll have more receptions, yards and TDs every year or he’ll be better relative to his peers if he actually ends up being classified as a TE?

If it’s the former you’re crazy. The latter is highly likely because Pitts is in the Jimmy Graham mold. He’s going to run routes 90% of his snaps. Pitts enters the league as a top 10 TE in the passing game.

I'll be honest, I kinda want them to go Chase. He is a generational type receiver. And the fact that they already have chemistry together, they can shore up the OL in other ways than passing up Chase. Just my $0.02.

Chase is six inches shorter than pitts and would out jump him to a ball. That’s insane

I think chase could be Joe’s Marvin Harrison.

Two guys that young that would be able to go full out day one?

I gotta go chase over pitts. Hell Jefferson went to the damn PRO BOWL.

Chase is a beast.

They signed Riley Reiff

yeah they are adequate at OT with Williams and Reiff, at least for 2022 and likely 20223

they need serious upgrades in their interior OL, and they're not drafting an OG that highly b/c Q nelson isn't in this draft

i think it's chase b/c of the Burrow connection and then the best OL at the top of round 2, which should be an OG/OC which fits their needs perfectly

*ETA: the Bengals just committed a ton of money to their RB. Pitts isn't a guy who is going to help in the run game anytime soon, so i don't know if it's a scheme fit. that's the biggest argument against Pitts. he's no Kelce/Kittle b/c he's not a blocker

Offer a trade with Detroit

Move down to 7 and take a great player.

Let DET move up to 5 to take Jones/Lance

Get an additional 3rd

I would take Slater, but you are in a better position to take a skill guy with another pick in this draft.

yeah i was going to post that they may get some really good offers from a team flipping out about getting jones or fields

even if it's CAR, they can still get one of pitts, sewell, or chase

the dolphins and potentially the Bengals are in GREAT positions b/c of that trio

Lol he’s the best OL prospect in years.

Slater is a better player. Period. Inside or outside.

I don't think the lions are going QB. Carolina or Denver are teams that could be willing to trade up. But I agree that the Bengals are in a very good spot.

Draft an OL. Burrow gets hurt again and he may be done for good. Chase is good but not that good. Lot of good WRs out there
