Right, and in discussing Oregon and specifically their 1 loss...that's an SEC team. What?

Utah will beat Oregon.

Utah runs at will on Oklahoma.

Highly doubt it.

You’re really focused on that.

Not the bad loss to Kstate that looks worse every day.

Well sure, but they just beat the #12 team on the road so that more than offsets it when comparing it to Utah/Oregon who have zero top 25 wins.

OU also ends with top 25 OSU.

Again, you have to project the schedules.

USC and UW will both be 8-4.

They will both be top 25. I’ve already told you the computers love UW. The Huskies will run it up the Coug’s arse.

USC will beat UCLA because UCLA has no secondary or pass rush.

Baylor will lose to Texas and Oklahoma will have a few okay wins.

It’s how it’s gonna be.

Oregon and utah fans/alumni would travel as well as OU would IMO.

I dont think "larger fanbase" is the argument OU should rely on

So in your scenario you are taking Utah over Oregon and then putting Utah in the CFP correct?

I don’t know.

It depends on Georgia LSU.

If Geogia wins, I don’t see how you don’t have those teams in the top 4.

Right...I’ve seen a bunch of Ute fans out in force.

Utah travels well.

Oregon and Utah would not bring in the $$ as OU does. Not just from a traveling fanbase perspective but for eyes on the TV perspective. I agree it shouldnt be a factor but I truly believe it is. It's not the end all be all but if they all have comparable arguments they're gonna go with the one that will fill their pockets the most, and Oregon/Utah are behind Oklahoma in that regard.

I'm not saying the Utah and Oregon fanbase are ghosts by any stretch, but they're just not on OU's level in that regard. Better hope Baylor wins the rematch. Just sayin

Oregon is really really good for TV ratings.

What are you talking about?

I would barely tune in to Oklahoma.

The Oregon fan would rather tune in for Oregon than Oklahoma.

Take out Oregon.

I don’t tune in for Oklahoma. They can’t stop the run. They have no shot at winning.

But that's you, the individual. The decision makers care about the collective. OU has more pull with the collective. I know you Eugene hipsters like to think your tastes are superior and should count more but in reality they dont. If it comes down to Oregon and Oklahoma and they are comparable, Oklahoma's getting the nod. Just how shite is. Should have beaten Auburn

Who wants to watch Oklahoma get beaten again? California is not watching Oklahoma.

Whatever you say bro. Throughout any given season how many people do you think watch an average Oklahoma game over an average Oregon game?

Oregon always does better than expected in tv ratings in high profile games.

The casual watcher likes novelty and west of the Rockies people watch only if intrigued.
