I did, they weren't anything special. Brees best season in SD was barely better than the passing numbers Cam put up last season with a bum shoulder.

I mean, Saban wanted him bad and every QB that Saban has ever had has been overrated af

in 2005 QB's were barley hitting 4k. It was a different time

Brady lead the league with 4110 yards

And brees had one season as starter in SD where his QBR was over 100. That's what I'm looking at, QBR. For most of last season, before his shoulder got worse, Cam's QBR was over 100.

Brees other 3 seasons as starter in SD his QBR was:
89.2
67.5 ( )
76.9

So before Payton made a system QB out of him, Brees had 1 pretty solid season, one average season, 1 below average season, and 1 absolute dog shite season.

Like I said, Brees was nothing special before Payton. His best attribute as a QB is being smart enough to latch onto Payton and never let go.

Are yall just completely ignoring 2004? because it was 104.8

I'm arguing about his last 2 years and you want to just throw out 2004

You said “last couple of seasons.” His last season was good.

2002 and 2003 were bad.

I literally said he had 1 season over 100 QBR and then explicitly stated that those were his QBR from his OTHER 3 seasons as starter in SD

Did you even read my post?

He wasn’t there long. I’d argue you should count those seasons.

I was not debating he was terrible his first few years. My argument was his last 2 were not just average.

No one has ever

Won a NC
The Heisman
Been the 1st pick overall
Been MVP

And won a SuperBowl.

Cam could have been the first if not for the Denver defense that year.

True.

That 2015 Denver defense was one of the GOATs. Stout rush defense, elite pass rushing ability with ball hawks and head hunters in the secondary.

He's very excited to finally have a competent backup

quote:

"I reached out to Will," Newton said. "I actually saw Will play in high school with him being in Charlotte, and I'm just excited. Like I said, for him to come on a team that I know he possesses a rare talent, and I'm excited. It's my job to put myself and my team in the best situation, and to get everybody ready. I want to make sure that I'm my best teammate and my best self for everyone."

You might be an actual retard if you believe it was anything other than a depth move

quote:

“This is about depth and bringing in young guys and developing young guys,” Panthers general manager Marty Hurney said after Grier was drafted. “This has nothing to do with Cam Newton. Cam Newton is our starting quarterback and franchise quarterback.”
