re: Lebron will not be putting on any of NBA’S approved messages on his jersey

This is the absolute biggest example of "damned if you do, damned if you dont" I have ever seen

Holy smokes lol. If he had suddenly had a change of heart and said "I don't want to use my jersey as a vehicle for social commentary or to push out a political message," (but obviously in his dumb broken English) people on here would probably be pleasantly surprised. The thing that's humorous is he surprised people by not being supportive of it, and yet his reasoning is still somehow true to form because it's about him. Hope this helps.

But like Lou said, the way he approached it was really really douchey. He always come across as self-aggrandizing and while he is a cultural icon, that behavior is not an attractive trait to many people. Just how human beings are wired.

The MSB is full of grown adults who criticize and cry about every meaningless & harmless action Lebron does or thing he says - all the while calling him a soft and mentally weak beta. It’s tradition.

Translation - I would have criticized Lebron for putting a message on the back of his jersey. But he’s not putting a message on the back of his jersey for a reason different than why I think he shouldn’t do it - therefore I still think he deserves criticism.

- LeBron advocates for the NBA to make a change
- NBA offers slogans on back of jersey
- LeBron is upset they didn't consult with him
- LeBron refuses to wear one


Sounds like a teenager who wants something and when it isn't exactly their way they throw a fit and refuse it
