As I've said several times over the last 2 or 3 weeks on this board:

LAMBIEER WOULD BE WAITING FOR LEBRON UNDER THE RIM EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!!!!

The bottom line was the Pistons put a hit out on Jordan. Whenever they played they'd beat the crap out of him literally. And he still beat that arse and NEVER choked in a Championship Series.

Except for all the times he didnt beat that arse, right?

So you give MJ a pass for "choking" in the Eastern Conference Finals just because it wasn't the Finals?

But to say (I'm assuming which is your belief) that Lebron is better than MJ is absurd.

That is my argument.

3-4 in the NBA Finals; went more times than MJ did and is still behind him in rings

I don't think we crown Lebron as the GOAT yet; however, I think it is fair to say he is on track. I still believe Jordan is the GOAT right now, but it isn't necessarilly a runaway at age 31. Lebron will be judged best when his career is over.

Also the criticism that James has gotten there more, but has won less rings is stupid. They have the same number of championships as the leader at age 31. Lebron just won a ring with a sidekick that is 23. Pippen was 25 when he won the first championship as Jordan's sidekick.

Lebron won his Miami championships with a sidekick that didn't complement him at all. It is the main reason they lost two of the finals series.

Yea, except, you know, the first 3 times they met in the playoffs.

Yes against one of the greatest defenses in the history of the game. You bet your arse I will.

Some of those Bulls and Celtics teams Lebron faced in his Miami years had better DRtgs than the 2 Pistons Title squads, fwiw.

Revisionist history will do that.

I mean I get that they would target him, but I have to believe Lebron would be one of the most likely players to withstand these players since he is thicker and stronger than the enforcers being mentioned.

It's just funny because Lebron is literally the most well equipped player of this generation to be able to withstand the physical nature of the game back then.

Jordan had 4 titles..he went to college for 3 years.

As a freshman in coach Dean Smith's team-oriented system, he was named ACC Freshman of the Year after he averaged 13.4 points per game (ppg) on 53.4% shooting (field goal percentage).[18] He made the game-winning jump shot in the 1982 NCAA Championship game against Georgetown, which was led by future NBA rival Patrick Ewing.[4] Jordan later described this shot as the major turning point in his basketball career.[19] During his three seasons at North Carolina, he averaged 17.7 ppg on 54.0% shooting, and added 5.0 rebounds per game (rpg).[12] He was selected by consensus to the NCAA All-American First Team in both his sophomore (1983) and junior (1984) seasons. After winning the Naismith and the Wooden College Player of the Year awards in 1984, Jordan left North Carolina one year before his scheduled graduation to enter the 1984 NBA draft.

No, that has never been my belief. My belief is that at 31 years old LeBron has a better resume than Jordan. My belief is also that Jordan has a better career than LeBron up to this point. We'll see where LeBron settles out. Apparently this is much more difficult for most people to comprehend though, so I cannot really blame you for your shortcomings either.
