So more points are being scored in the NBA right now since 1990; yet it was easier to score back then?

It's been fun, guy. But you are a fricking wizard.

Every single season from 1980 through 1994 were higher scoring than this year. But you knew that already huh?

And this season was an anomaly.

Also sweet article from 2010. The following 3 seasons had sub 100 ppg league averages.

Well that's a big sample size. Thanks for bringing up the one outlier. And unfortunately playing along.

The 80s/90s NBA was higher scoring than the current era. Fact.

I'll just leave this right here for you
quote:

The 1994-95 season the last season that he average NBA team scored over 100 points per game.

Until this year.

Bradford Doolittle over at Basketball Prospectus ran the numbers and found that so far this season teams are averaging 100.2 points per game. There are a few reasons — some seven-seconds-or-less teams are pushing the pace, and shooting is just flat out better.

But what matters is that scoring is back up.

2011-2013 all posted sub 100 ppg averages. You can at least put some more effort in your trolling.

He thinks losing in the ECF or 2nd round means you're better than losing in the Finals. Why even bother with him?

Agree that it's pointless. I just hate lazy trolls. I appreciate trolls that put in the effort and show pride in their work.

Couple things.

Why we playing this game or whatever in Laimbeer day?

Anyways, as you have it, Laimbeer and company beat the shite out of people and pushed them when they were in the air for layups and destroyed fools in the paint. Lebron might be the most well equipped basketball player to service that type of play, ever.

So now let's put Laimbeer in today's game. Dude was tough, ok. Do you know who can do the things he did physically? Literally every big to ever play in the damn league. Thank god the rules let actual skill dictate the outcome of games. Would you honestly enjoy watching Westbrook getting tossed 9 rows deep more than watching him pull off amazing finishes at the rim when he beats the defense?

I'm saying this, why the hell would you give an advantage to Laimbeer in ANY era? Lebron would deal with Bill's bullshite better than most any other player could in Bill's era, and would shite down his neck in this era.

Yet, somehow, he and players like him are your trump card. Pardon me if I don't agree with a single thing you say about this.

That's an interesting thing about the Bad Boys era, as you see in Jones' post. For all the talk about defense, those scoring averages were through the roof. It's not like that was some defensive golden age. But, anyway, the game is probably better off without the thuggery. Te Pistons were one thing, but Riley's Knicks and early Heat were another.

How is this possible? Laimbeer came into the league in 1980. I saw him put a guy into a coma. That guy was me. From a stare he gave the camera after he dunked an opponent's head like a basketball.

Omg the 80's were so tough. I can't imagine how a 6'8" 250 lb. man with once in a lifetime athleticism and speed and 7% body fat could ever survive.

Lebron is by far the best equipped to excel in that kind of game from today's players, without question.

Limber would have no chance at being a rim protector against Lebron, none. He'd eventually get frustrated and probably do something stupid to get himself kicked out of the game...thus making it easier for Lebron to continue scoring at the rim.

PPG is obviously not a good indicator. Defensive Rating is so much better. Without looking, there's probably a couple of defenses better every season in today's game than those Pistons of the late 80s/early 90s.

They were good at their time, but they're not nearly as good historically as we remember them.
