This is a fair question. If you're old enough to remember Jordan playing it really isn't a question of who the goat is.

I disagree. A lot of people who were old enough to watch MJ, grew up, and no longer watch sports as much because their lives moved on and they simply spout shot without even watching....

I feel the most unbiased crowd is the millenials around 30. They admit MJ is the best, but Lebron is very close and top 3 all time

I'm old enough, I think Jordan is slightly better than LeBron, and I find this reasoning asinine. If you're not good enough in the quantifiable measures, then you're not the GOAT.

Depends on how you view team accomplishments.

I mean, there are a bunch of role players with no titles who were a tad better than Robert Horry, but wouldn't you say he was more accomplished?

Having a better career doesn't just equal more team accomplishments

What's funny is the people that want to hate on LeBron instead of appreciating his greatness don't see the irony in having it be some sort of knock on him that he's not better at MJ at this or that stat.

Ya know, the same MJ that's one of the greatest and most transcendent athletes ever in any sport.

Jordan is the superior one-on-one player on both ends of the floor. Dominant scorer that took smart shots plus a tenacious defender. Hand size played a big part in MJ's dominance as an on ball defender and finisher at the rim; he was built for his era. The type of player MJ was fit perfectly in an era with less three point shooting and more physical defenses.

Lebron fits the new NBA perfectly. I've never seen a player lead like Lebron, and when you pair his innate ability to motivate others with his superior talent, it isn't surprising that he's been 7 straight finals. I've never seen a more impactful athlete than Lebron. That makes me lean more towards him being tGOAT

I'm upper 30s and I'd admit this.

That lack of self awareness is always great. It's funny for those who are adamant that LeBron is not #2 and think you're crazy if you think that...but it's the only debate left. No one debates that LeBron is better than anyone other than MJ, and for good reason.

Just for the record, I said he wasn't number one. He can have two. Kobe was more clutch but was a volume shooter.

Says no playoff metric ever.

Also, if we're talking #1 all time and #2, why did you bring up Kobe, even if you don't think he's 1 or 2?

What's the clutch stat? Almost as many airballs as makes?

Nowhere near as good as LeBron factually speaking in the clutch in the playoffs, but so many are fooled by the media and just spout what they've heard, despite nothing at all to back that up.

Just think about it logically, LeBron has wayyyyyyyy more clutch games/series/moments than Kobe does in the playoffs, it's not even close. Then you see the data, and it's LOL funny to think Kobe was more clutch.
