Sure pippens a great defender but D Wade is a clutch baller that was capapble of putting 30 on the board night in and out in prime healthy.

The Bulls won 55 games with Pippen as their only star. The Bulls were 5-7 when Pippen returned from an ankle injury and then won 30 of 35.

Pippen as the alpha was pretty damn good.

You think Wade gets that ring without Shaq?

Wut?

It wasn't Ewing, Shaq, Malone, Barkley, Hakeem, etc?

Pippen is great, but I don't think you can definitively say he was the second best in the NBA at that time. You really can't judge it because having MJ on the team opened up a lot of opportunities for Pippen.

It's amazing how people have propped MJs teammates to god-like status and made it out so LBJ is playing with people recently called up from the D-league.

I mean without MJ playing, Pippen was 3rd in MVP voting. Sorry that makes you mad, blame the voters not us

Based on what? Your eye test? The ability to drop 30? Is that it?

That's great. LBJ has played with a guy that finished 3rd in voting too.

And all of that doesn't all of a sudden make Pippen the 2nd best in the NBA at that time.

I mean, Pippen was pretty damn successful when he didn't have Jordan. It's not like he could control Jordan being there or not. Pippen was damn good. Was probably the best defender of that era and proved that he was more than capable of being the #1 option on an Eastern Conference contender.

ETA: I'm not saying Pippen was the 2nd best player in the NBA at that time. I'm arguing that Pippen's prime was better than Wade's

Scoring, D wade's rebounding as a 2/1 Guard, Pippen scored career high of 22 one year. Pippen had 4 years of 20 plus ppg. D wade has 10 and hasn't had best of luck health wise along the way. DWade as a 2 guard defender is good enough to combine with his offensive ability and clutch play making ability in post season.

They won 55 games the season after MJ retired, in the same East people say was so treacherous back then. Not too shabby.

Not when you have so many other HoF guys in the league at the same time also in their prime.

You can reverse that for the counter arguments about MJ

Shouldn't you be off somewhere worrying about how people see and judge you?

So, in your opinion and the hysterically laughing Mattz, it is downright UNREASONABLE to say the guy who finished 3rd in MVP voting was 2nd best in the league. You dont just say you disagree, you say it is UNREASONABLE. That is crazy to me

Bull. fricking. shite.

There are some guys with a post count of less than 100 that show up with bullshite on both sides, but that comment is completely false with the regulars on this board.
