Jonas looks like he could do another loop

Tadej put 1:15 into one of the best time trialists in the world and lost over 90 seconds loooooolllllll

To put more than a minute and a half into the field in a 22km TT is absurd.

I want to know how much time Jonas put into Julio up the climb. I am guessing at least 45 seconds and Julio saved up for the climb. That was literal insanity. completely flabbergasted honestly. Jonas did a podcast with G and said the Granon stage were his best legs ever. Curious as to where this ranks for him personally.

Powless did 6.4 W/kg up the climb for a time of 7:34. Assuming his weight is accurate on Strava.

strava activity for Powless

I wonder how his legs will be tomorrow and going forward because that was just pure insanity.

Looking forward to the Lantern Rouge article about both of their performances

Pretty sure this qualifies as thermobiblical

Watching Jonas putting this kind of time into a once in a decade type talent made me feel dirty. My god what a beating. Impressive to say the least.

Jonas put 34 seconds into Pogi on the 7 minute climb on a time trial bike with Pogi on a road bike.

Ciconne actually ended up with the fastest climb of the day to get KOM points.

Hate to bring up Floyd again but that was the craziest thing in the Tour since Floyd went solo for 100k+ to win by almost 6 minutes and claw his way back into striking distance after bonking the day before.

Doesn’t seem possible to wipe the field by over 3 minutes. The kid has some power for sure, but that seems off.

If we're gonna go all out, Pogacar doing a Landis tomorrow would be fitting

yep. For a 58 kg skeleton to put over three minutes on the world's best TT specialists? c'mon. That was a mutant, thermonuclear, glow-in-the-dark performance. JV has gone all US postal service now. It will be interesting if they ever get caught for what they are doing.

Vingo is the most unlikely, obviously doped rider ever. We had Froome go from a domestique to "losing weight and getting over a parasite" and then the best in the world. Now we have Vingo with lower tier junior results and working in a fish factory to four years later beating the best TT specialists in the world. Give me a break.

Jonas just said in an interview:

quote:

"I don't know how to explain it, I immediately felt I was having an incredible day. I was doing very high watts even when I was not going full, I even thought my power meter was broken."

One of the mechanics slipped a motor in his bottom bracket last night when everybody was asleep.

He soft peddled to the base and then sprinted up and soft peddled afterwards. Not really comparable.

I understand what Ciccone did. I just didn’t believe he could beat Jonas based on the day he was having
