I'm so ready for cycling and France to start figuring out how to prosecute these idiot fans.

This is really amazing what we’re watching. Difference between these two is so small. I love the battle that we are privileged to witness.

Looked like Pog was doing a shitty job of trying to sandbag after Yates went up the road.

He let Yates go so he could attack and bridge up to him and then let Yates do a really hard pull to get him even further up the road. Didn’t work cause Pog couldn’t drop Jonas. It was good strategy though

Are Stage 16 & 17 the only chances left for Pog to catch Jonas?

Maybe stage 20?

It’s not quite the Planche Des Belles Filles TT from 2020, but maybe Pog can win the tour again in a similar fashion.

2020 stage:

Can't find any more recent info but Wiki links to ASO regulations from 2006 that says:
quote:

In the event of a tie in the general ranking, the hundredth of a second recorded by the timekeepers during the individual time trial stages will be included in the total times in order to decide the overall winner and who takes the yellow jersey. If a tie should still result from this, then the places achieved for each stage are added up and, as a last resort, the place obtained in the final stage is counted.

Y'all catch this dude from the French team hopping off his bike mid race to slam a beer with the fans?

edited link

I did that one time at a road race in Minden with some rednecks parked in a pickup hollering at us when I had bonked and wasn't in the race. Funny stuff. They weren't expecting one of the spandex crew to stop and ask if they could join them for a beer.

Was that after the stage?? Necause he kept walking. Can't imagine he stops on a mtn stage like that? Either way that was fantastic.

I had to block all content from FloBikes on youtube. They started broadcasting Stage 15 live yesterday and everyone in the comments section thought it was some special deal, like a one time event or something - and then the feed just abruptly stopped. So I blocked them. I thought they were actually delivering one stage via stream but it was just some cruel trick, I guess.

So, I'll go to some other spots and see what news there is on this rest day before the ITT.

I really wish they would bring back the TTT. I used to love watching the Blue Train go down the road with Postal.
