At around 125km to go a Jumbo rider gets smacked by a dolt with their arm out taking a selfie, which brings down a big mass of the peloton with Van Hooydonck getting the worst of it.

Is this the big crash on stage 14? TV didn't seem to capture how that thing got started. Someone speculated the slick road caused it.

That was Sepp Kuss that initially got clipped too

Just catching up for the day. Thanks for info any update on Kuss is he looking ok after that?
Posted on 7/16/23 at 9:35 am to TorchtheFlyingTiger
Idk if he took any damage but he is still riding with Jonas as of now
Posted on 7/16/23 at 9:40 am to JimTiger72
Just went back and watched (thanks for giving the km mark). Looks like the rider that got hit by spectator didnt take much damage but the other Jumbo rider (Kuss?) that he clipped looked like he went down hard on back of his head. Odd the world feed didnt discuss that or mention Kuss at all. Great to see he is back on his bike and up w Jonas.

We probably won't know how Sepp is until the final climb. Looks like Neilson is going to lose the mountain jersey. Ciccone's been swallowing up points and Powless has dropped back from the lead break. They are even on points now with a cat 3 next.

Pog getting read to pull the trigger. Part 2 of yesterday incoming. He looks a little more fresh than JVG at the moment
Posted on 7/16/23 at 11:01 am to Drank
Yates is such a nasty climber. Kuss dropped. JVG alone w Pog and Yates
Posted on 7/16/23 at 11:07 am to Drank
Yates just pulled away easily. It’s a duel now… nvm maybe Pog doesn’t have it today

Looked like Pog was doing a shitty job of trying to sandbag after Yates went up the road.

It looks like Pog had the stronger team today. I wonder how much that early crash affected Kuss

outthought himself I reckon. These two are just on such another level than any other rider.
I can’t cheer against either of them. Both likable and both showing us talent we haven’t seen in years.
