I almost posted yesterday that I lost a lot of respect for the La Tech athletic department, turning down a bowl game that a LOT of people across the state would have loved to see, the Independence bowl would have had an awesome atmosphere. But I refrained, thinking maybe Tech has a better option on the table and they really want to play some big boy school in a bigger bowl game that would benefit their program. I was wrong, what a completely botched job by their AD, dude should be shown the curb tomorrow. Karl Malone has every right to be mad as do all the Tech fans (mostly the ones not beating their chests about not having to play their little brother). This is an embarrassment for the University and I feel sorry for those players who miss out on another game, think about those Seniors that will never play another down. Wow.

That AD has got to go... This is disgraceful for the student athletes, but incredibly hysterical as an outsider. Actually, I feel slighted that I won't have the opportunity to see the nations most prolific offense one more time.

In 2008, Tech strong armed the Independence bowl into not taking the Cajuns who were shunned for NIU who had the same record. Tech threatened to sit out instead of playing the Cajuns in a bowl.

This is some kind of hilarious..... many of the Tech fans I know are delusional and their hatred for LSU is both real and, well, delusional. Their arrogance toward ULM is best exemplified by the fact that they haven't played them since 1999. Two of ULM's biggest crowds in recent years came when they hosted Grambling..... truth is.... Tech is now reaping what they've sowed for all these years. They will be thoroughly humiliated on the national stage.

I brought up them starting a Johnny's Pizza House Dining Room Bowl, so if they start a new bowl, I want half credit. They have a built in sponsor who can give them 15% on their buffet. Lord knows they have plenty of time to look into it now.

Wow I had no idea about that. I use to pull for all Louisiana teams. Now I hate Tech. They act like they're too good to play other teams from Louisiana.

On ESPN's bowl selection show they mentioned they Indy Bowl will feature Ohio and ULM and then talked about what a poor decision it was that Louisiana Tech turned down the invite.
