The idea for going for 2 is that you’re going to get two chances if you miss. If you make it, an xp now wins it.

It’s one of the most lopsided 2-pt decisions in the game, but very unpopular.

Damn Florida is some resilient mf’ers. Props to Mullen for instilling that mentality in them. So many before them would roll over once Bama imposes their will but Florida would not die

Do they no longer teach people how to on-side kick? Even if he got the big bounce he kicked it so damn hard it would have sailed out of bounds

If you know you will go for it rather than the tie then it makes sense to to make that call.

You’re just playing the odds. Going for 2 down 8 let in the game is quite advantageous if you’re trying to actually win.

Most coaches are coaching to tie at thet point.

Play action, roll right and have Smith on a drag across the field. Mesh route the other direction will free him up
