What exactly did you expect? They don't have Kobe, Meeks, Nash, Blake, or MWP. That's literally the entire rotation at the 1/2/3. I've never seen a team go through injuries like this.

they shouldn't.

Ginobli and Duncan esp have been injured more frequently in the last few years than they ever were as younger players

He was not making an excuse. It was pretty obvious they were going to get fricked. No team missing half their roster would win a playoff game. It is a fricking D-league back court.

The big 3 of the spurs don't play the same amount of minutes they used to. That's the difference between them and the lakers and that falls on dantoni.

Outside the big 3, the spurs are full of youth
