LeBron hits a layup over Westbrook with a foul called, but misses the FT.

Beal misses a go-ahead 3 at the buzzer, so game is heading to OT.

That pull up by Beal pissed me off. He’s basically been a ghost in 4th and OT up until that recent shot he made.

Deni and Rui have been awesome.

Lakers are 1-4 since AD got hurt. I’d say it isn’t a big deal, but there is a legitimate chance that the Lakers could slip from the 1 Seed in the West all the way down to the 5 Seed mainly due to AD’s injury. The Suns and the Clippers both have somewhat favorable schedules to close the season, while the Lakers still have to play 3 of the Top 5 teams in the Western Conference and GSW

Not to mention that AD is still out for another 3ish weeks and LBJ is racking up big minutes right now

if AD comes back, does it matter what their seed will be?

Because your best player is hurt. Happens to every team.

Lakers will be fine if AD is healthy. Without him, despite being a better team than last year, they are toast.

The Lakers are 7-5 against current playoff teams when Anthony Davis plays (7-7 overall). However, all but one of those seven wins vs. current playoff teams came against teams that are seeded sixth or lower in their respective conference (Spurs x2, Bulls x2, Nuggets, Celtics).

The Lakers record against current top 5 seeds from either conference when AD plays is 1-3 (losses to the 76ers, Clippers and Trail Blazers).

One more significant stat - the Lakers have won 22 games this season, and 15 of those wins have come against current non-playoff teams.

What I am getting at is this Lakers team has been far from dominant despite what their record shows. Their schedule up to this point has been relatively weak, and they are about to play the Suns, Clippers, Jazz and Warriors over their next four games. The Lakers are liable to lose three of those games, if not all of them. Having home court advantage in the postseason could be really important to this struggling Lakers team if their skid continues.

Are they playing in a hotel or nah this year?

The last LA team to win a playoff game at Staples is the Clippers fwiw

I think they are honestly just fatigued. Mentally and physically.

They just need to prioritize getting healthy and developing a consistent rhythm before the postseason.
