What I am getting at is this Lakers team has been far from dominant despite what their record shows. Their schedule up to this point has been relatively weak,
I mean 1 weeks ago, the Nets were sitting at 14-12, with one of the easiest schedules in the league PLUS 4 more home games.

And despite playing 5 of the next 6 games on the road, against considerably tougher opponents, and without Durant in 5 of those games, they won all 6. I would have expected them to lose 2 or 3 is those games WITH Durant, and even more without him. Yet, what looked like circumstances that could ended with them at 0.500 or worse potentially out of the top 8 (or just barely in), ended up with them a half game out of first place.

The Suns and the Clippers both have somewhat favorable schedules to close the season
The schedule for the 2nd half of the season hasn’t even been released yet.

I didn't want to start another thread, but this seems appropriate here. I don't even understand the lyric, but I don't think it's good.

quote:

“This b**** I’m f***in’ always tell me that she love but she ain’t ever showed me,” the song goes. “Yeah, and if I ever lack, I’m goin’ out with my chopper, it be another Kobe.”

Vanessa Bryant slams Meek Mill for extremely insensitive lyric.

They’re 3.5 games back from Utah already.

We finally are gonna get the clip show - lakers series. It will be round 2. Unless lakers drop down to 4 on purpose to avoid clip show.

Clippers have struggled of late, too. Meanwhile Phoenix is blowing the doors off of everyone. I can certainly see them being in the conversation for 2.

Clippers just beat the jazz. Before that Pg missed what 7 games in a row

Clip show got beat by a KD less BKN squad. But so did the Suns. In fact the Suns lost to BKN with no KD or no Kyrie.

West power rankings

clip show
Lakers
Jazz
Portland
Denver

This is how I rank them if they are all healthy heading into the playoffs. I can’t see anyone else making any kinda noise Unless we see some Big trades.

They Lost 9 in a row since two of their all stars talents got hurt. They can get into the playin game once they get back. And depending who they get in the playin, make the playoffs. Lot of basketball left.
