absolute minimum, they need to get into the low 60's. i'm not sure that can happen.

It can ABSOLUTELY happen. Tulane is currently #94 RPI with 20 regular season games left and the next 16 are against Top 100.

This starts the time of year when teams from Big South, SoCon, Missouri Valley, Atlantic Sun, Sun Belt, Ohio Valley, MEAC, etc. go against a consistent stream of 200+ RPI land mines and sink out of their Top 80 spots.

They get passed by teams on a daily basis even if they win.

i hope it does. seth romero is suspended - he's a top ten talent that Houston will be without.

i think there are 20 games left - need to, at least, split the 6 with houston and try to get to 30 wins. problem is we have two weekend starters right now - if we can get massey back pitching at least in the midweek games, we all of a sudden look much deeper. whatever happens, at least the men did not fold up their tents after the horrid start.
let's hope WVU keeps winning!

Good point.

West Virginia looks like they're gonna take the first two from TCU. They haven't lost a series in Big 12 play yet.

Tulane took 2/3 from them. If they go on to win the Big 12, that would be a huge boost to Tulane's résumé, as well.

Marks has rung up 60 batters via strikeout this season. That equates to 14.09 strikeouts-per-nine, which is second best in Division I

That's a ridiculous stat. He's lethal out of the pen. Ever since he began throwing that slider consistently for a strike he's almost un-hittable.
I saw with runners on base, batters are hitting around .030 against him

Anyone know the McNeese final?

Last tweet was that McNeese hit a go ahead 3 run shot.

Pretty good games on tap this week and some big matchups both midweek and weekend.

Tulane has the biggest chance to make noise this week taking on ULL and Southern Miss midweek before travelling to Houston on the weekend.

LSU has to travel to 10th ranked Kentucky this weekend. Big test for the Tigers as they start to make their case for a regional bid/national seed.

McNeese travels to NSU and are now tied for first in the SLC with Sam Houston. SHSU travels to UCA. Both teams should be heavily favored in both matchups. A slip up by either team could be costly.

LA Tech and McNeese should be interesting as LA tech tried to get out of their mid season slump.

UNO has a tough test against Texas this weekend. Would be good to see them take 2/3 from the Longhorns.

Cajuns have a really tough midweek guantlet with Tulane and SLU coming into Lafayette. Big test for their midweek pitching/bullpen and a good experience for the pitching staff should they make a regional

Key games/series this week:

Midweek:
Tuesday
Tulane at UL-Lafayette
Nicholls at Southern Miss
McNeese at LA Tech

Wednesday
Southern Miss at Tulane
Southeastern at UL-Lafayette

Weekend:
LSU at Kentucky
Tulane at Houston

New polls are out...

McNeese Baseball Twitter- Pokes ranked in Top 25 for first time in School History

Also #14 in the Warren Nolan RPI. Coach Hill doing some impressive work. If they make the NCAA Tournament, he will go down in the record books with some of the biggest names in program history.

Yeah, and considering what they did, it's incredible that neither had McNeese ranked in the Top 25. 3 of the 4 NCAA appearances for McNeese came under their watch, and Robichaux holds one of only 2, 40+ win seasons in McNeese history.
