I’ve already read more than I wish I had about many of the “poor me” movements. Basically people need to read the boy who cried wolf and stop distracting from REAL racial issues.

Defensive and insecure about what? You're a smart guy, so I expect a good answer.

I can not even fathom thinking about race day in and day out lmao. Anyone who thinks this way has to have a pathetic existence.

Holding a grudge that’s main driving force is skin color, something that can not be chosen, whether white or black is just about the lowliest mindset out there.

Tell us more Lester. Give us some things we can do tomorrow to fight this inequality.

What would you do?

Yeah it’s pathetic. Black friends who are professionally successful don’t seem to give a shite. Financial situation seems to be a bigger indicator of happiness.

To simple to realize what?

I have never judged a person or thought differently of someone due to their ethnicity or skin color. I was like one of six white kids on a college football team. I’ve seen dumb shite mentioned to friends of mine and said by idiots and that crap has no place in today’s society and I have no problem shutting it down when I see it, which I will note has not been a common reoccurrence.

I have always treated everyone as an equal and not as some figure that I need to feel guilty around because of some shite a white person did a hundred years ago or some racist bullshite that happened yesterday.

The people who scapegoat someone else are the ones who keep progress from moving forward. Instead of demanding an apology, it’s often times better to shake hands with your fellow man and move on.

Not prioritizing education, children prior to marriage, multiple convictions that create higher averages, much less of the wealth due to 1) a much smaller portion of the population and 2) see above

I have friends of all races. I'm a bonafide multi-culturist Lester. I'm not seeing what this has to do with fighting inequality though.

A myriad of reasons..

Broken homes, poor choices, etc... I could go on, but I’m not going to entertain you because you already know

Crabs in a bucket. If life sucks for everyone around me it’s the situation but if someone like me is successful it’s me.

The thing about this note that really throws me off is the narcissistic “look at me nature”. He could just as easily feel this privately (no issue if he feels this way - he is entitled to his opinion) and put things into practice but he felt it necessary to try to shame people by publishing something. Really odd.

A very large portion of this country considers wealth=informational speaker. These athletes and many actors have lost all grasp that they may be wealthy but they aren’t some great sociologist that has a firm grasp on society.

I don’t know if you have a problem or not. I just know you read the article wrong & your combativeness suggests you are not the ally you prob think you are.

If you’re not sure, ask them. Start with asking if they’ve ever felt discriminated against & go from there. If it’s truly someone you care about you’ll feel it.
