Never said that, either. Any more words you'd like to put in my mouth?

Or maybe you'd like to take another potshot at my appearance? Might make you feel better

Do you even realize how you move the goalposts? First it's "educate yourself about being black," then it's "well you know nothing about ghetto blacks," then it's "well your parents making it doesn't mean anything."

Then you throw in personal attacks on my appearance and IQ. you're all over the place

Compared to the percentage of black people in the US, that’s not very proportionate.

Ok? I’m not sure how that has anything to do with systemic racism. They have every opportunity to rise to those levels. As for the senators and representatives, maybe blacks should do a better job of getting elected?

Can you point to a law or mandate that our government has that keeps blacks down?

If you want everything to be proportional, then let’s begin with professional sports leagues.

If you noticed in the thread, he has no answers as to what the actually wants, or how we're supposed to get there. He just wants to complain, and signal for virtue.

That’s exactly what he’s saying

He also thinks NOLA is a ‘racist’ city because a restaurant closed down for essence fest

People who lived under centuries of oppression tend to be poor and uneducated. People who are poor and uneducated tend to have much higher rates of crime than the reverse. They also generally have children that are also poor and uneducated.

Tell this to Asian Americans, most of whom escaped communism and war to come here and are not just doing fine but thriving.
Tell this to the Irish who came to New Orleans and who were treated worse than slaves.
Tell this to the Jews who escaped genocide.

Before WWII most everyone in this country except the very wealthy would have been considered uneducated

Can you please point specifically to where the system is rigged against blacks? Just one specific point to where the system is rigged.

You being black has nothing to do with this discussion.

You played the race card there.

He ONLY brought up his race after your remark about “educating himself”. You started it, not him.

I'm not reading this thread.

But I am sure there are many upset white guys posting.

Good for Kyle Korver speaking his mind

Indeed

I think it's funny how some folks are caught off guard by Korver's take. Most celebs and entertainers right now are pretty left of center when it comes to sociopolitical topics. It's not surprising, it just is what it is.

Then the conversations that arise from that are....interesting. I don't think a Player's Tribune article from Kyle freaking Korver is going to change anyone's worldview. Folks are just going to use it as a touchstone to make their own points (myself included).

And so on until the next celeb says something remotely political

Do we really want to touch the criminal justice system on a Tuesday before 9 am?

I do find it interesting that behind closed doors players really have very little positive things to say about playing in Utah.

It's been on this board for less than 24 hours and 12 pages of garbage over a guys opinion who 99% of the population has no idea who he is or what he does.

See I've always been biased against utah but that's because of the David Robinson/Karl Malone beef back in the 90s Didn't realize until the past few years that everyone hates playing up there

If you sincerely have to ask that question. Then we are already off to a thrilling start to the conversation.
