A backup that was off the practice squad shouldn't shred regardless of who is playing.

All I'm seeing is more proof Sumlin should have been fired two years sooner and Houston was 100% right to shitcan Applewhite.

Panthers beat the Saints 23-10 in Week 17 of 2009.

It's a nice concellation prize to the rest of division. If you're not Atlanta you too can win a meaningless game against your division daddy.

That’s a lot to take from one half of an absolutely meaningless game.

muh worse draft pick

ps...The Saints lost to 3 teams in 2009. Yes, it was the Bucs, Cowboys and Panthers.

Wanna know what else happened in the 2009 season?

In the Saints Week 17 23-10 loss to Carolina in 2009, Mark Brunell was held to under 60 yards passing in the first half.

Teddy has 56 at half today.

Wild.

Allen should have been a senior at Houston this year. Instead Applewhite benched him after two and a half games and never gave him a chance to start again. That's why Allen left for the NFL a year early.

Everyone knows how Sumlin had both Allen and Murray on the same team and lost both b/c he was an idiot on how he handled them.

Both had NFL QBs they drove off and their teams suffered b/c of it.

So yes, Allen showing he actually can play in the NFL is an indictment of both Sumlin and Applewhite's decision making and coaching.

Do you like showing your ignorance?

If you actually watch the game you can see the Saints are not putting much effort into the game.

3 lineman on both sides of the ball pulled themselves over possibly minor injuries that they would normally play through.

They are also playing a very vanilla D.. So add it no effort and it makes for this type of game..

Saints lost their last 3 games in 2009 and won the championship.
