Said a couple of the guys were complaining about Kobe not passing the ball. Shaq said he'll go talk to him. Told him "Kobe, there's no 'I' in team." Kobe told him, "Yeah, but there's an "M-E" in that mother fricker."

Shaq goes back to tell the others just get the rebound he ain't passing that ball.

Man I didn’t realize how much Kobe meant to me. I always respected him. But to lose a legend like this so young. Watching these videos, memorial, and the Nike commercial. Been crying most of the time.

For me personally, watching MJ's speech was easily the hardest part of this whole thing

"Everybody always wanted to talk about the comparisons between him and I, I just wanted to talk about Kobe." -MJ

The amazing thing is nobody is exaggerating when they say, “oh yeah, he was there for me. He helped me with this or that and we talked quite a bit and he ask me about my life and taught me things off the court.”

It wasn’t just a few people or a few instances. That service could have probably gone on for days with people sharing how dedicated Kobe was to helping them. The effort he put in to other people is wild.

A person THAT charitable with their time and knowledge would have gone down as a legend/hero even if you only took those things into consideration and completely ignored that he was an all-time athlete himself.

Unbelievable.

I just watched the rest of the memorial and Michael Jordan was great. It was great to see him there speaking and wished he was in the public more then he is. When he got choked up saying he was Kobe’s older brother that made me teary eyed. Shaq had me laughing with what Kobe said “I know but there is a M and E in that motherfreaker”lol. I was glad to see his parents there even though not the circumstances you want but hopefully they can be in his daughters lives. I never seen Dear Basketball and it was great. Seeing it now that he is gone I felt like he was telling the world he was leaving. It still doesn’t feel real that he is gone and I wish I could see how he impacted the world in his second career off the court.
