There are guys all over NBA rosters that hardly get any playing time who are excellent one-on-one players.

Chris Douglas-Roberts is probably in the TOP 15 best one-on-one ballers in the NBA right now but can't do shite on the court when it counts in the team game.

Kobe has 5 rings to Lebron's 0. The Dilfer, Marino arguments don't hold here seeing Dilfer only won 1. The better comparison would be Montana and Marino, a perennial winner with a perennial loser.

I would have to think the strength of Lebron would allow him to win one on one.

The only way I could see Kobe winning is if he hit every jump shot he took. He very well could though.

The ring argument is stupid as Lebron has been great since being in the league. You make Kobe and Lebron switch teams the player on the Laker would still have at least 5.

I don't care what side of the Lebron-Kobe debate you're on in a 5 on 5 game, but anyone who thinks Kobe would beat Lebron 1 on 1, I really really wonder about there basketball IQ.

Like you said, Kobe would just have to hit EVERY jump shot. So he may be able to win 1 random game or so, but consistently Lebron would win without question.

Kobe would have zero chance of consistently stopping Lebron from getting to the rim when he wanted. I don't see anyone in the league today that would stand a chance to stop Lebron from getting to the rim almost at will.

You know, they probably played alot of one on one in China during practices. I'm pretty sure Kobe knows what he's talking about.

I doubt they played "a lot" of 1 on 1 together, other than just messin around.

I'm pretty sure even if you was right about them playing 1 on 1 in China and Lebron kicked his arse EVERY time, Kobe would still say the exact same thing he just said to the media. I highly doubt he'd admit Lebron beat him and say for that reason, Lebron would win, LOL.

If they play 10 times, Kobe wins 8 IMO. Maybe 9.

Can anyone explain how Kobe remotely stops Lebron 1 on 1 when no player has even remotely contained Lebron in a 1 on 1 situation consistently.

And Kobe has been contained in similar situations.

There's a reason why Lebron faces more double and triple teams and gets more focus than any other player in the league. IT's because he's the most unstoppable 1 on 1 player.

I disagree. I think Kobe is the best 1 on 1 player in the NBA.

Since I do not really give a shite either way and respect both players, I do not really care enough to try to prove something that is impossible to prove. It is just my opinion.

You don't give a shite and yet you're getting defensive.
