This is part of the reason I think that all high schools and colleges should require mandatory financial classes

my mom once taught a college class full of football players how to write a check. true story

there is no reason that college athletes should not be forced (freshman year for b-ball players) to take some finance class. totally agree. they give them seminars when they enter the league, but nobody pays attention during that shite.

Should be the type of class that requires at least a B to move on. Although, if they're not graduating, who cares?

Yup, unnecessary to go public, IMO... it'd be different if he was 18, fresh out of HS.

I said the same thing. This is a lesson learned over a childhood, or was for me; That money wont always be there, work hard for it, enjoy it but save for the future.

23 years old with mom and dad controlling it is f-ed up.

This isn't that surprising. My dad sat me down and taught me how to write checks the week before I left for LSU. Most kids don't write checks.

I know. I like it (like I said)....I don't think embarrassing his son publicly was called for though.

why do all of you assholes assume his parents are fricking him over?

Because of the number of parents who have done this very thing to their kids in the past

Point taken but in this case Klay certainly did not have to agree to that and I think there is about a 0% chance they are fricking their son over.
