I know it’s easy to think Kingsbury was a dumb hire, but the Cardinals haven’t been that bad considering their talent level.

Challenged the spot on a 3rd and 3 run play that was called a first down on the field. No angle showed the RB OOB early.

At the time Arizona was down 28-25 with 2:21 remaining and 2 timeouts. Wasted one on the challenge.

Called a TO right before the Cards made a goaline stand on 4th and one, after TO niners score a TD right before halftime. Wasted a valuable TO in the last 3 minutes of the 4th qtr on a stupid arse challenge that was clearly a first down and if not fourth and an inch. Stupid arse lost this game with his ego.

You guys all realize he still got to use that timeout at the end of the game, right? Whether he calls the timeout or challenges the play the clock still stops and doesn’t start until the snap.

They may have been bad calls, but seems like a stretch to say it was his ego that caused them, no?

What? With two time outs and 2 min warning you can get the ball back at just under two minutes.

He wasted the TO before a brand new set of downs. He could have had 2 TO and the 2 min warning TO for the niners 1 and 10.

The challenge didn’t matter. Even if they had one more timeout SF still runs out the clock. They couldn’t cover anyone on 3rd down all game. Thats why they lost at the end.

The timeout before half was moronic and he should be criticized relentlessly for that.

He is 3-5-1 in his first year with a rookie QB with the team that had the worst record in football last year

The challenge had very little chance of being overturned, but he didn't really get the benefit of seeing multiple TV angles. It was a hail mary challenge that I have seen plenty of other coaches make. Wasn't a great call, but it gets blown up because it was Kingsbury.

I thought we established this when he went for it on 4th down from his own 30 against the Saints last week

I thought we established that call was 100%, absolutely, positively the correct call. Only people mired in decades-old, risk-averse decision making think going for it was wrong.
