I’d argue Patrick Peterson lost them that game way more than Kingsbury did.

I am not totally opposed to the concept that has come around of "go for it all the time on 4th down, no matter what". I think it has some merit.

But the concept only works if you actually DO go for it on 4th down all the time. You can't be selective or choosy about when you go for it.

If you are only going to go for it on 4th down occasionally, the one to pick was definitely not the one Kingsbury picked...and we saw the consequences.

The clock had already stopped because the runner went out of bounds. So he wasted a timeout when the clock was stopped anyways. It was really dumb.
