ESPN sources say that the Sacramento Kings, in a dramatic about-face, have decided to keep George Karl in place as coach .

What a joke of an organization.

I don't know why other than $$$ Karl would want to be there.

He was/is trying to amass wins. Fifth on the list:

1 Don Nelson*
2 Lenny Wilkens*
3 Jerry Sloan*
4 Pat Riley*
5 George Karl
6 Phil Jackson*
7 Larry Brown*

Thibodeau was their Jimbo Fisher. Phil and NYK got him on lock though.

I definitely understand that but it seems like he could get a better job.

That's probably the only reason he's staying. If he quits, he doesn't get the contract money.

If we now live in a world where Rondo goes to bat for a coach, well, I'm not real sure what to think.
