Other investigations involving serial killers around that time suggests otherwise. I don’t think you appreciate the difficulty of finding a serial killer at that time, with the tools available and the barriers in place. They’re still hard to detect and to catch. LE at that time had no clue. Even the feds were unprepared.

I thought the same thing.

Chicks dig serial killers. This is a very real phenomenon.

Definitely not a genius. A reasonably intelligent guy who presented fairly well. Nothing beyond that.

No, the one with the gay son who was alive and being interviewed

Not the guy with the gay son who obviously can’t be interviewed because he’s dead

To get this derailed thread back on topic, there was an insane amount of enabling going on in AH's life

Bristol, CT is a surprisingly shitty place, we think of ESPN and all but few that work there actually live in Bristol.

AH was reportedly a member of a street gang in HS, he was well on a path of destruction long before CTE took hold

his dad was a rage monster, his mom was a POS, his dad dies, his mom starts fricking the husband of her white trash cousin and AH starts hanging out at the cousin's house hanging out with all sorts of life lowlifes and degenerates

he goes to Florida, commits a gun crime, nothing happens but Urban tells him to leave school early. They implied that Urban was not going to have him back for his senior year

NE drafts him and he goes right back to ground zero of all of the shittiness of his life, but now he has status and money to use

He had self loathing issues, rage issues, abandonment, and was probably at least borderline personality disorder if not a full on sociopath

the Borland and Callaghan stuff was dumb, had nothing to do with AH and his situation. Seemed like they could have each had one on-camera spot to make their points and then move on. The kept coming back to them and it just seemed like filler. Borland really fricked over U of Wisconsin with some of the stuff he said

Finally the gay QB and his dad was very forced. The dad seemed like an actor reading from a group therapy script, didn't seem genuine at all. The son/QB came across as attention whorish and needy for some sort of validation.

His high school quarterback had a pretty big role in this documentary. He pretty much said "first day of school, me and Aaron smoked two blunts that morning. Showed up stoned. The star QB and TE. Just on some boss shite, you know? But we were also drilling each other in the arse."
I thought you were embellishing the other day. But I just watched ep 1 and that's literally what happened

If he gets drafted by another team he's probably alive today.

I hated how the doc acted like anal sex was the reasoning behind his mindset. Uh maybe it was the rage and CTE he had

His look changed quite a bit. I don’t know if it was on purpose or not.

When healthy and trying, he was a handsome guy.

ETA: Not sayin this swag didn’t have some to do with it.

I think that a stretch. Troubled guys like that find ways to get into trouble whether they are in Compton or whether they are in Denver

This
He was a criminal in Florida away from all that.
He was gonna find crime no matter where he went
And with the money coming in would have flown the guys out to him

Am I the only one who found that guy extremely hard to believe?

He was nerdy and awkward af. Not some badass jock that he was portraying.

It came off like his intense father caught him being a fairy so he concocted this fantasy where he was only experimenting for a short while with his friend, the town hero. Yeah dad isn’t happy but who can say no to the legendary Aaron Hernandez?

Something was up with that guy.

He was in High School 20 years ago
A lot can change
Didn’t find it hard to believe at all.

The only thing that got me was he tried to make it about him.
Sure he was gay and got fricked by Aaron Herndandez a couple times, sorry no one will be coming to you for a Bravo TV show
