fair enough

I try to never start USC threads, or have an irrational hatred for them. I just thought their defense was a little more porous than normal last night, and the guys at CFN agree.

Still should be a fun situation to watch the next few years

I agree with that too. Fortunately, we don't have a typically beastly OOC schedule with the exception of ND (don't laugh, Kelly will make them players this season). Virginia and Minnesota are just the type of teams we need to play against to get the team ready for PAC 10 play. If the defense catches up (even marginally) to the offense, I will be stoked.

It turns out the Trojans did not know the Warriors would be running the "Pistol" offense — a spread attack in which the running back lines up behind the quarterback — until defensive boss Monte Kiffin saw it on the news Wednesday night.

I literally lol'd.

Good thing he saw the news!

Kiffin Jr's offense scored 49 points, and looked briliant.

Kiffin Sr, the respected elder statesman and father of the Tampa Two defense, gave us a look at just how shitty that defense is at defending the spread.
