The argument can be made theyre less compacted during a jump ball than a normal play under the rim.

It’s like people wake up everyday and try to challenge themselves to come up with the dumbest thing possible regarding covid.

Why stop with the jump ball?
Maybe they should just do coin flips for each possession of the game to determine if a team scores or not.

Are they going to eliminate rebounding too? Missed shot automatically has possession going to the other team? Because multiple players going for a rebound and boxing out has 10x the contact that a jump ball does.
