I hope this game shatters their confidence if they hold on to win.

Cousins showed a lot of restraint there. Didn't even get in the guys face after he went WWE on him.

I have said it all season. UK has no killer instinct.

If a team like Cornell can keep the game relatively close, I don't see how so many posters think UK would blow out a team like Duke, unless it's just what they wish would happen.

Who said they would blow Duke out? But the team knows how to play great D and win close games.

the game wasnt close though outside of the first 8 minutes or so.

Cornell's pace is the only thing that kept the score close and they still won by 17.

Cornell didnt threaten at all the last 25+ minutes

Dont know where Duke comes in. That will be a good game. Kentucky isnt untouchable, dont know where that comes from

I have seen several posters write that it would be a 20+ point win.

None of them were UK fans though, so I am thinking it could just be flamebait.

The UK fans on here are all pretty rational, unlike the maniacs on KSR and Cats' Pause

It was a 9-10 point game until they resorted to desperation fouls. Not particularly close, but they definitely showed that UK couldn't run and gun against anyone. Let's keep in mind that Cornell had an awful shooting game as well.

Some of the credit goes to Wall and his teammates for good perimeter defense, but the Big Red also missed some wide open looks.

You're right about their lack of killer instinct though. I've never seen a team so talented completely lack the ability to put a game away early. Not counting last weekend against Wake though.

ehhh i think it was more than "some". Cornell has never seen a team full of athletes like that. No not even Kansas

i mean they doubled up the spread, it was pretty impressive to me. The coasted the 2nd half and still won by double digits

"killer instinct" and "putting people away" doesn't really matter if you win.

Kentucky seemed very content just passing the ball around the perimeter for the majority of the shot clock, then giving it to Cousins or Patterson.

They really didnt attack off the dribble at all

True, but it has to be a concerning sign considering they have yet to play an elite team all year. These kinds of problems can come to bite them in the arse in the last 3 rounds.

not putting people away isnt a problem, IMO

they've played tight games. Memphis was the same way under Calipari and they did pretty well in the tourney recently.
