My my my how the narrative changes..Let me guess this is different..
It is different. KD handled it much better.
No reasonable person faulted LeBron for going to Miami. How he did it was what people didn't like.

I don't blame KD from wanting to leave that hick town in Oklahoma.
Welcome to San Francisco.

KD is now highest paid player on GS....how does Curry and Thompson feel about that?

Mac Miller was a key piece in their team. He was clutch in the playoffs but was injury prone in the reg season. The players were extremely pissed when he was cut.
It's a known fact the Heat wanted them all to take cuts again man
again stop acting dumb. Bosh only got offered the max because it was reactionary to Lebron leaving and Houston offering him the max. Even with Lebron gone they still got D Wade to a 2 year deal below his value to stay below the tax.
And the Cavs are in luxury tax hell right now and are unable to sign any FAs beside their own and vet mins. JR is up to a new contract. If they don't pay him then they are fricked at SG. The rest of their starters are locked in so they are stuck with them but no terms of role players they have already lost Mozgov and Delly and have no way of replacing them unless signing people for the MLE or vet min.
Again I'm trying to give you examples of how these things effect super teams farther down the line but you appear to be uninformed on what is occurring on these teams

It was definitely not the best.
Based on?
OKC has been incredibly succesful staying near the top of the WC despite the injuries.
They rolled the dice on some scenarios and it didn't work out, but this isn't like they are New Orleans(read bad front office/owner for a long stretches) or Minnesota...
Presti catches a lot of flack-mostly for the Harden deal(deserved), but he's pretty damn good GM.
They held onto Brooks for too long, sure.
Their two best players didn't exactly compliment each other-yes.
but throughout the Durant-Westbrook era they acquired talent on cheap contracts and would roll through them hoping on of them hit. They were about to go through one more cycle like this (Orlando trade), but Durant obviously wanted something else.
The situation has been just fine in OKC, much better than Cleveland has been run the last 5 years...so it's not an excuse for KD.

the reality is cleveland oklahoma city and all other small markets is why would anyone with money want to live there? Lebron went back to Clev bc its his hometown, Durant wont be going back to OKC. You only get to live one life and the max money is max money wherever you are. I cant fathom who would rather live in oklahoma city vs LA,Miami,San Fran,NYC
As a person who has lived in NYC, Miami, Houston and now DC I can tell you a ton of reasons why people wouldn't want to live in one of those cities. I personally couldn't deal with a small city but traffic, crowds etc aren't for everyone.

You didn't live in those cities as a guy making 20 mill a year though

9 years there, no title.
Not really, really tough to win?
how many WCF appearances?
how many seasons derailed by injuries?
and they should have won the WCF this year...and maybe the whole thing(but that's another topic).

@_M3JC: most of y'all on my TL jump from aau team to aau team, transfer high schools & colleges every 5 seconds, but y'all mad at KD for leaving?

GS winning or not this past season doesn't really change that.
i disagree... i think GS losing actually helped their odds of landing KD... it gave them a selling point... i think OKC, had they been in exactly the same spot (winning the West, losing the Finals), would have the same success with landing KD had it been them....

I think this was primarily a basketball related decision and KD knows it will be more fun to play in Oakland with friends that share and move the ball. The winning and everything else will fall into place

Lebron should retire. This will be last time he ever sees a championship. Might as well retire on top.

Are you really trying to argue OKC was the best situation and not tough to win a title?

I've driven next to plenty of athletes in those cities who were stuck in traffic with me
As I said I couldn't do it but some people want a more quiet life. 20 mil goes way further in Memphis than NYC; Conley is the richest dude in the NBA today

Is KD good friends with any of these guys? I don't know much about his connection with other players.

Basketball gods will find ways to punish puss knees ring chasing. I hate seeing people injured, but it's out of our control now
