They have everything locked up. They likely won’t even play their starters and it has nothing to do with the bengals

This is embarrassingly, painfully stupid. Also a reminder of how terrible this board is in general since there are now multiple threads on this same double digit IQ take.

For the Bengals to play the Chiefs in the second round that would entail the Bengals beating the Bills, I'm sure the Chiefs would be thrilled to see that happen

They will pull starters
They might lose to the Broncos
The motivation will not be to avoid Burrow although that would be a bonus

But I asked who would the Chiefs rather play?
That would mean the only team to beat them all year lost and they get to play a team they have beaten 3 straight times

Maybe the bengals should’ve thought of that before losing 8 fricking games

Also, Denver and the bengals just proved they are damn near identical with a coin flip OT game
Why the hell wouldn’t the chiefs also be so damn scared of the broncos?

Losing to the Patriots will haunt them

Cincy really needed the Steelers to beat KC, but now that they have the 1 seed locked up there’s nothing to play for vs Denver. If I’m KC I rest my starters but it has nothing to do with the Bengals.

You saying I’m clueless and you think the 15-1, 2 time defending SB champs are actually discussing strategy to avoid a team that is an extreme long shot at best just to make the playoffs, a team KC has beaten 3 times in a row, including a playoff game in KC because they lost to them in the playoffs 3 years ago

The NFL has always been about risk mitigation.
You clearly do not understand that means

Risk mitigation is resting your starters after locking up the top seed to avoid injury especially you QB with a banged up ankle, not plotting to keep a team that is currently 10th and that you have beaten 3 times in a row out of the playoffs. If you think Ried and the Chiefs have discussed this it is you that is clueless. Why wouldn’t they prefer keeping a division rival out of the playoffs?

There is no difference in the broncos and the bengals
They both “almost beat the chiefs”, they both have had a very mediocre year, and they quite literally just played a coin toss game
Burrow literally dick clouds peoples brains here

They’ll do whatever they can to make their path to the SB easiest. Playing Denver is easier than Cincinnati.
If you don’t want to keep your head buried up your arse and not recognize that teams will pick what they see as an easier path when they can control it, then you’re just helpless.
Or maybe gunning for temu-sfp status.
Either way, you’re not in a good spot.

Cincy just beat them in OT at home
Denver literally missed a chip shot to beat the chiefs
Denver has actually beaten the chiefs recently
Denver also has a better record than the bengals

You're stupid. The Chiefs will rest their starters regardless because they've clinched the #1 see s. It's what teams do. It's not like they were going to play their starters all game but suddenly now letting the Broncos win is more important.

I think the starters will play some. They will have a minimum of 24 days between games if they don’t play. That’s an eternity. So look for them to possibly play until halftime but no more than that
I think the bigger factor is the Chiefs are coming off three games in a week and a half near the end of the season. I think the possibility of them losing would keep the Bengals out has certainly crossed their minds, but I think it’s way down the list of their reasons to rest starters.

Then explain Oregon winning the B1GCG. Surely their path would be easier if they had rested their starters and lost, played SMU at home and then Boise rather than getting Ohio State at a neutral site.

I’m going to assume you are just trolling or trying to be a dick for the sake of being a dick. You calling other people stupid and clueless is like a fish calling other fish wet.
The Chiefs do not have an “easier” path if the Bengals are the 7 seed. Thinking that is comically stupid

Why? Why? Why?

They are 3-0 against the Bengals recently. The Bengals have 8 losses. Why in the world do you think they are even crossing the Chiefs minds?
Y’all have to realize how fricking cock drunk on burrow delusional this makes you look right?

Isn’t that what you are doing?

You are saying the Chiefs primary concern is avoiding a team they are extremely unlikely to play, that they have beaten 3 straight times needs multiple upsets just to get the 7 seed and calling others stupid
